By Tuesday the 28th, I’ll choose the top pick for my next post. Voting for one of the listed options doesn’t preclude the others from being covered. I might eventually cover them all! Feel free to write in your own request.
Thanks in advance for voting, readers!
Don’t forget to come back later to see if your vote won. You can subscribe (to the right) to receive an email the next time I post something new.

My vote isn’t so likely to win, but I put in a challenging “other” topic, because you seem to be up to tackling big picture questions.
I think there’s a cultural crossover between the recent violence at Black Friday sales, and support in some circles of increased violent police response directed toward peaceful Occupy protesters. For example, rationalizing that pepper spray isn’t really a chemical weapon (which it is) makes it more acceptable for people to think of using it in instances that police term “competitive shopping”. When materialism is glorified to an extreme to people who have little, who live under extreme and unjust economic stress, violent competition for scant (probably illusory) advantage increases.
Whatever you choose to write about, I’m sure it will be a great read.
